"Sturmadler, why don't you answer?" September 23, 2006

We had a local game day, affectionately known as "GarageCon" this past weekend and I .45 Adventure, Dragon Bones/Amazing War Stories. Some pictures of the event are posted here. The setting is China after WWI and before WWII. Baron von Toje, disgusted with his country's capitulation, steals the airship he commanded and becomes a mercenary. In his down time, he decides to rob some Chinese tombs of their riches. He has loaded the hold to bursting when he goes out for one more sortie. A Chinese Warlord, incensed at his pillaging chases the Baron back to the airship. But there is no answer as he calls for them to lower the bridges so he can board. The game starts out with The Baron and his men and the Chinese bandits all jumping to the airship (conveniently parked in a hidden valley.)

"Why do none of the crew answer when called, and when will this blasted fog lift!

The Chinese Warlord force. A bandit Executioner is closest with 4 bandits, and the Bandit Chief and his four bandits are on the far side.

The Baron and his 4 Green troopers.. Just out of the picture is his NCO and 4 more Green troopers.

The Chinese bandits slip through the fog, but the stolen Terracotta Warriors have become animated and seek to destroy anyone on the airship. THey are joined by the "hopping corpse."

Three Chinese Bandits manage to hold off the 10 terracotta Warriors along the narrow walkway. Two of the bandits eventually died (one was knocked from the edge of the airship and the other was eviscerated), but the third managed to slip away.

A Chinese bandit manages to figure out how to operate the Schwimmwagon and races for the zeppelin trupen that had been raining rifle fire on them.

The last thing that two of the zeppelin trupen saw before the car jumped sped off the edge of the airship and exploded in a fireball.

A Chinese Bandit managed to get into the stolen Russian power armour, but he was not quite smart enough to figure out how to operate it. It usually moved or turned at the most inopportune times.

The final battle with the Germans managing to throw the Jade Mummy (also animated) and the Bandit Chief out of the control room.
