Historicon 2006

Historicon 2006 was a rousing success for us with all games filled to the max and plenty of alternates waiting to jump in should there be a no-show or someone having to leave. Though we do not set up a booth in the vendor hall, a check with retailers at the end of the show pointed to a huge number of sales (and in most cases the rulebook being sold out). Below are some pictures of the game boards from 4 different events. I'll be posting more images later. There was the .45 Adventure game I ran: Airship Over the Ardennes, the game run by Tom Hoffmann: Talisman of the Scarab King; one run by Logan Weiss: Kong; and finally a demo version of Gloire, our new game coming out this Fall, run by Pete Murray: The Waylaid Messenger.

Quest for La Calavera Negra

The Sturmadler! The game was played out on the airship itself with Allied Rocket troops attempting to rescue a captured American general.

Talisman of the Scarab King and Curse of the Scarab King. Each a game run by Tom Hoffmann with three teams racing for the prize.

The wall! This beautiful piece was all that seperated the adventurers from the mighty Kong (who made off with Ann Darrow from what I hear)

Pete Murray's beautiful travelling Gloire board. The King's loyal servants seek to recover stolen letters (some of them love letters that Pete made sure the players read aloud). This game also won a Battle Streamer for thhe 8am time slot.
